B'n'B... Beatles 'n' Bass

As a special pre-NYE treat, I thought I'd fire this little belter up here. Switching from retro to club banger and back again, hopefully we'll hear more from A.Skillz in the upcoming year, I know I'd certainly like to!

UK Dub, I'd Like You To Meet French House...

Nero have handed their potential 2011 smash hit 'Me & You' over to the dark horse of French ElectroHouse; Danger. I think we've all been huge fans since '14h54', and despite taking an alternative route to a heavily sidechained bass, he still makes them just as punchy!

2000 Views/Happy Christmas from Juicy!

We've just hit 2000 views, which is brilliant, so as a special christmas treat/celebration heres a stack of tunes to keep you going until new year, when you should get down to City to see DJ Ian Billet (Juicy) smash it with Kissy Sellout & Pendulum, a night not to be missed, especially if you've been missing your weekly fix of Juicy! on Freshair.

First up is a tune that has been tearing 2010 up, featured on Jaymo & Andy Georges Mixmag CD recently, its the catchy, techy, downright weird Djedjotronic remix of I Am Europe, do not miss this one - Gonzales - I Am Europe (Djedjotronic Remix)

Next up is a massive new remix from the prolific Joris Voorn, whose set at the Liquid Rooms for Musika on Saturday 18th December was without doubt one of the best nights I've ever been to, he finished what had been an amazing set on this phenomenal remix, well worth a look - Stephan Bodzin & Marc Romboy - Callisto (Joris Voorn Remix)

In my most recent post I basically declared my love for Alex Metric, who is set to have a massive 2011 and this tune is another one backed by him, guaranteeing its quality - Evil Nine feat. El-P - Stay Up

Moving on is this disco banger from Dan Castro remixing the Basement Jaxx, without doubt one of the funkiest tunes I'v heard all 2010, featured on the last Juicy show of the year - Basement Jaxx - Flylife (Dan Castro's Eivissa Remix)

Finally a tune from two DJ's me and Ian idolise, releasing their first production as a duo (other than remixes), with legendary grime star J2K on vocals and subskrpt on the remix, stormerrrrr - Jaymo & Andy George feat. J2K - Hold Me Back (Subskrpt Remix)

Thats all from us, thanks for all the support in reaching 2000 hits, hopefully there will be many more milestones to come, have a sick Christmas and New Year and stick around for bigger and better things from Juicy! next year xx

Dutch (Dirt Bit)

We've all heard Black Eyed Peas' abysmal attempt to rip off dutch house, and by the looks of it, so has the man who pioneered dirty bits, Afrojack. Nothing more to say except he's shown them exactly how it's done...

Avicii - Essential Mix

I can't actually believe Avicii hasn't done an essential mix before, but it's fucking quality. He might not be the best looking DJ/producer around but 'Bromance', 'My Feelings For You' and 'Tweet It' are testament to just how good he is as a producer.

The Rolling Stones Remixed

Theres been a couple of really good remixes of the legendary Rolling Stones floating around for a while now so I thought I'd share them with you all.

First up is the brilliant Soulwax's remix of You Can't Always Get What You Want, its a bit more laid back than a lot of Soulwax tunes but still delivers, well worth a look -

Next up are two fantastic remixes of Gimme Shelter, which in itself is amazing, I really like how theyve kept a lot of the songs original components in these mixes.

The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter (Zeds Dead Remix) - Savage Dubstep, Zeds Dead took part in the US leg of Kissy's San City High Tour and the quality of this tune shows just why.

Afrojack - Replica (Original Mix)

So here it is, a massively long awaited Afrojack tune that has been spotted in countless videos of massive DJ's for ages.

I'd get on it quick because no doubt it's not going to stay on here long...

MAHOOOSIVE.

Afrojack - Replica (Original Mix)

Afrojack - Bubblegum (BRAND NEW?)

Not sure when or if this is being properly released but Jaymo & Andy George played it on their radio show last week and it's class. It's the sort of song you just know the clubs will go wild for, NUFF CHAT...

Feel Good Big Room House

Sooo exams are quickly approaching and getting back revision reminds me how badly it sucks. So to pick up my (and your) spirits here's a selection of massive feel good house anthems.

The only option is to play these loud...

Funkagenda - Lmaoblade (Original Mix)  - i just can't get enough of that breakdown with that synth/string combination at 4:00 and the build-up that follows.

Chris Lake Ft. Nastala - If You Knew (Original Mix) - Just spent an hour watching videos of how this track was produced, Chris Lake is an absolute hero.

DJ Groover feat. Jelena Milosev - At Night (Viento & Mutti Remix) - This is one of the tunes me and Jack didn't quite have time for on last Friday's Juicy! Radio Show. LOVE. THIS.

Mark Knight - Devil Walking (Original Mix) - Laidback techy brilliance.

Fresh Drum 'n' Bass

We have'nt been posting enough d'n'b on the blog so I decided I'd rectify the situation, anyone who tunes into the Juicy! Show - Fridays On Fresh Air, 8-9:30 on Fresh Air Radio , will know that me and Ian love nothing more than a cheeky skank to a slice of drum and bass, so here we go....

First up is a producer who should need no introduction, DJ Fresh is one of the biggest producers on the scene at the minute, earning himself daytime airplay along with specialist support with his massive tune gold dust. This time he's teamed up with (relative) newboy Sigma to produce this absolute banger. This was my top tune in me and Ian's vs. and despite views to the contrary from esteemed station managers I reckon it sealed it for me, safe to say its lahhaaarge

Next up is Danny Byrd, his album Rave Digger has been on everyone who's anyone in the music world's speakers and for good reason, this time around he's remixing the talented Plan B to great effect -

Finally a D'n'B classic, such a huuuuge tune

Simian Mobile Disco - Delicacies

Can't believe i forgot about this, released in november sometime. Got some verrrrrrry trippy techno beats in there, not exactly an easy listening album but a stormer nonetheless... Get it quick!

Simian Mobile Disco - Delicacies
