One of my stars of this year, Coat Of Arms, have delivered another remix following their phenomenal mix of Viadrina's 'Luna'. This time its for the relatively unknown Adriatique & Thyladomid's new single Feeling Good, its got that gorgeous analogue feel they always nail with that undercurrent of Bristol bass which characterises everything that Daniel pearce, aka Eats Everything works on. Alongside Coat of Arms partner Chris James he's been responsible for some of the smashes of this year, most notably the huge 'Is This Something', supported by the likes of Jamie Jones, need we say any more? Wrap your ears around this bad boy....
I really don't know what's going on in Bristol right now but it keeps churning out some of the most cutting edge house music out there right now. I'm a little slow on the uptake of this EP but i'm really feeling Bowski's unique weirdly chilled style. Favourite track from this is definitely 'White Russian'...
Following in the vein of the disco sound we're loving right now, this is a fresh cut from Kitsune's Jupiter and someone I've never heard of Kassav. Its a funky slice of nearly tropical disco, not quite apt for a cold British Christmas, but phenomenal nonetheless. If this is your vibe then watch out for Ian's phenomenal disco mix dropping any day now.
Just stumbled upon this track whilst on the Crosstown Rebel's soundcloud page. I'll be the first to admit that i'm not the biggest deep house fan around simply because it can all get a bit boring and repetitive but then a tune like this comes along and completley blows me away, you need this tune...
2011 was massive for deep house as a genre and 2012 is looking like it's going to be even bigger. One of the pioneering labels Crosstown Rebels have really set the benchmark, topping Resident Advisor's poll of the best labels of 2011. This latest release sees Art Department back on top form...
New remix from manchester based HeavyFeet, you might remember their tune 'I Will' which i was absolutely creaming over for a long time. Same pumping electro vibes here, perfect for rocking a dancefloor, love it.
Continuing the theme of Bristol completely dominating the house scene right now, some of my favourite producers, the Waifs & Strays have turned out another banger, this time in the form of a remix. Having been literally addicted to their previous productions, 'Yeah Yeah' and 'Body Shiver' in particular, its safe to say I was excited for this one and it doesn't disappoint.....
Fresh from The Magician's latest Magic Tape is this Plastic Plates remix of Sneaky Sound System's 'Friends'. I dunno how he does it but Plastic Plates seems to create impossibly funky vibes with anything he touches and this is no different. Getting released soon on Rec Room...
Joris Voorn is undoubtedly one of my favourite ever electronic artists, his melodic take on pumping tech house is rivalled by no-one. He's is also one of the very few producers who i can safely say has never produced a bad tune, which is why i couldn't wait for this to be released...
So its finally dropped, after hyping the preview on our show and on here DJ Slan has dropped the full version of his debut track "Nebula" and as predicted its a banger, but don't just take our word for it, listen below:-
If you're a fan check out his Soundcloud or catch him DJing at Night Kids on Fridays and on monthly rotations at Candyboxx Wednesdays as well as at a host of other nights in Edinburgh, where he tears it up with his big room house sounds!
By now you will almost certainly know of our obsession with Alex Metric and the theme continues with his remix of the excellent Miike Snow's latest release. Debuted tonight on Pete Tong's show its a textbook Italo-infused slice of house from the man behind Open Your Eyes as well as phenomenal remixes for the likes of Gorillaz, Ellie Goulding, Fenech Soler and more. Give it a listen below and get ready to have a new favourite tune, Metric kills it again!
We've already waxed lyrical enough about Joe Goddard's anthem 'Gabriel' but that was before this remix! The Aston Shuffle are an Australian duo who put out some pretty funky electro but for this remix they've completely mixed it up, using steel drums to give the song a whole new vibe. I got this on an Edwin Van Cleef mixtape, which is also well worth checking out. Its out soon on the phenomenal Greco-Roman label, make sure to get it as soon as!
And here's the mixtape I found it in, full of plenty of other bangers, I've linked up a download for Volta Bureau's 'Alley Cat' which is absolutely killing it right now for so many DJs.
Chad Valley – Fast Challenges James Blake – The Wilhelm Scream (Poindexter Remix) Moullinex & Peaches – Maniac (Instrumental Mix) Edwin van Cleef – Falling Joe Goddard – Gabriel (Aston Shuffle Remix) Kenna feat. Shimmy Hoffa – Chains Royksopp – What Else Is There? (Thin White Duke Remix) Sneaky Soundsystem – Big (Oliver Remix) Edwin van Cleef – Nala Oliver – Memories Of The Future Chemical Brothers – Believe Volta Bureau – Alley Cat Surrender – Conflicted
Just a quick one today about two of Britains fastest rising bass-music producers. Nu-garage phenomenon Mosca has been tearing it up with tunes such as 'Bax' bringing together the best of house and garage to create undeniably funky beats and if you don't know who Julio Bashmore is by now you need to sort yourself out! This meeting of two pioneers of the scene brings predictably excellent results.....
I've just come across this preview put up on the Fool's Gold Records website. This massive collaboration between A-Trak and bassline master Zinc is set to be an absolute smash...
This is my final post of a pretty blog-centred day, I've had this beauty lingering in my Itunes for a week or two and somehow it got lost. Until this evening. Oh my god. Tensnake cannot produce a bad tune, this melancholy (how else do you approach a Radiohead remix?) slice of 2-steppy disco is perfect for a Sunday evening, giving Thom Yorke's vocals, if possible, even more power with phenomenal percussion. My obsession with Tensnake continues........

Known to his friends as Michael Dodman, Huxley is making massive waves in the house scene, with releases on labels such as Act Natural and Matt Tolfrey's phenomenal Leftroom imprint. Alongside collaborators Ethyl & Russo or alone, Huxley produces garage edged tech/deep-house with undeniable funk. His recent track with Russo, 'Reality Check' has had me hooked for some time and I have no doubt you'll feel the same way, intelligently using a hip-hop tinged vocal to tip an already killer beat into overdive its a certified peak time banger, don't just take my word for it, check it out below.....

If you're a fan of The Juicy Show or are anything approaching a regular user of this blog then you'll know all about my penchant for Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Richy Ahmed and the whole Hot Creations camp. They've just released the second edition of their Hot Waves compilation which showcases some of the upcoming artists they come across. Its packed full of phenomenal tunes from Hot Creations regulars such as Russ Yallop, Lee Foss and Robert James through to relatively unknown artists such as Jakkin Rabbit and Ashley Wild. The selection of 19 tracks captures the deep house sound which Jones and so many others are championing right now with big, funky basslines and hip hop infused samples, proving just why they're on top of the world right now. Released last month it is definitely worth your time, I've had it on steady repeat this weekend and it's just getting better and better!
So far my standout tracks have been the opener, Jakkin Rabbit's analog banger 'Blame', the always excellent Wildkats 'Perpetrating' which I played on Fridays show (online soon) and Ashley Wild's 'Riding In The Red', which has one of the coolest basslines I've heard pulsing throughout the entire track. Having chosen those 3, to be honest you could pick any track as a favourite and have no opposition from me, I cannot speak highly enough of it!

Released on the phenomenal Luciano's Cadenza label its a slice of house that oozes sunshine, helping to forget about the ridiculous chills creeping through my flat, get on it and turn it up!
